Welcome to the WSAF's Virtual Art Fair
Canceling the 52nd annual West Shore Art Fair (WSAF), originally slated for July 4-5, 2020, was a very tough decision for the Ludington Area Center for the Arts (LACA), the local non-profit organization that hosts the WSAF, and we did not take this decision lightly. However, the safety of our artists, volunteers and community were at the forefront of our decision.
The cancellation of the WSAF, known as one of the best art fairs in the nation, not only means that art lovers from across our extended region would no longer be able to attend the art fair and missed sales for our artists it’s also a loss of revenue for LACA. The WSAF is a major fundraiser for the art center, a volunteer organization that strives to engage, inspire and strengthen our community through arts advocacy. Those interested in supporting the art center may do so by following the links below to become a member or to make a donation.
In an effort to support our artists and possibly assist them in a few additional sales, the WSAF invited artists who had been invited to the 2020 WSAF to take part in our Virtual Art Fair. Below are the artists names and brief descriptions of their work along with a link to their online stores, please take some time and peruse their sites and consider making a purchase to help support these artists.
We are eagerly awaiting next summer when we can all gather for the 2021 WSAF (July 3-4). Until then thank you for your continued support of our artists and our organizations!
Roadside Landscapes
in Pastel
Artist: Richard Franz
Medium: Drawing / Pastels
An associate member of the Pastel Society of America, I find beauty in the ordinary scenes alongside Michigan’s roads. I paint compelling scenes, the quality of light, subtle colors, patterns of foliage and older buildings nestled in the landscape. I label each drawing with its location; a rewarding way to reach out with my art.
Artist: Adam Egenolf

I create high temperature, gas and electric fired, functional and decorative crystalline pottery.
Pieces go through multiple firings and surface treatments to enhance the colors in the crystals.

Cyndy Callog
Artist: Cyndy Callog
Medium: Watercolor
My inspiration is the life
and beauty in my garden. After drawing outside, layer upon layer
of watercolor is applied with tiny brushes. Through high detail and depth of color, the painting is brought to life.
My work has won many awards.
It is my heart and soul.
Lazar Art
Artist: Tom Lazar

My subject focus is the outdoors. I search and wait for these dramatic and dazzling moments nature provides and then express my passion in my photography. I personally produce each of my prints and control all aspects of the creative process from the time the shutter is clicked to when it is displayed. My limited edition, signed and numbered photographic prints are produced using a digital process which creates high quality archival prints on professional photographic canvas and papers.

Bradley Gallery
Artist: Brad Patterson
Medium: Clay/Ceramics
Nature inspires contemporary design in all of my work. My work is hand-built stoneware, primarily out of slabs. Layering glazes gives texture and color that work with the form. Flowing bends in vases, impressions of leaves, and the inspired look of sculptural pieces all play into this idea.

Calico Metals Jewelry
Artist: Julia MacLachlan

My sterling silver jewelry is made using techniques such as cuttlebone, broom and found object casting that yield one-off, unique pieces. The incorporation of gemstones and gold accents further increases their individuality. Based in beautiful Traverse City, Michigan I can take my artistic inspiration from the rich variety of colors and texture in the natural world here, and I can rely on my background as a materials scientist for the technical knowledge to bring these ideas to life.
Jill's Design
