Slightly Plugged - Reprise!
The Ludington Area Center for the Arts (LACA) announced today that four notable singer/songwriters will be featured on the LACA stage for “Slightly Plugged - Reprise!” on Saturday, October 20, 2018. Hosted by Fremont John, this unique evening will be filled with original music featuring four notable singer/songwriters; Fremont John, Jen Sygit, Ralston Bowles and Drew Nelson.
This one-night-only performance takes place on Saturday, October 20, 2018 on the LACA Performance Hall Stage at 107 S. Harrison in Ludington, Michigan. Doors open at 6:30 pm with a cash bar available in the Main Gallery, show starts at 7:30. There will be a Q/A time during the intermission of the show to ask the musicians about their craft and the genesis of the inspiration for their music.
Tickets are on sale now in the LACA office. Tickets are $10 for LACA members and $12 for not-yet-members. (Must be 21 years of age or older - proof of I.D. is required for adult beverages).
Pickin' at LACA
Jam sessions are held during the summer months over the lunch hour (11am-1pm) in the gallery at the LACA. All musicians are welcome to join in and music lovers are invited to bring a sack lunch and listen in. In addition, an Acoustic Jam is held Wednesday evenings (6pm-8:30pm), in the Gallery space and is open to all interested musicians.
Open Mic Night
Open Mic nights from 7 pm-9 pm with signup at 6:30 pm in the Performance Hall. Held the FIRST and THIRD Fridays of the month. Family-friendly the First Friday and Adult-focused the Third Friday. Free, but donations greatly appreciated. Check LACA calendar for more upcoming dates.
Movement Classes Available
Feldenkrais with Judith Dila

The performance hall stage is custom designed to reduce vibration and minimize sound transmission into the theater space, providing acoustic integrity of dance productions of area and regional performers.
The Lakeside Civic Players is the resident theater company of the Ludington Area Center for the Arts. The group fills the stage with dramas, comedies, musicals, and reader’s theater productions in the LACA Performance Hall. Community members are invited to join the ensemble as actors or to work in lighting, set design, production, and choreography.
