LACA announces 'Masters Challenge'
The Ludington Area Center for the Arts (LACA) is hosting an online ‘Masters Challenge’ during the State of Michigan’s “Stay Home, Stay Safe” executive order.
During the ‘Masters Challenge’ the art center is challenging community members to play dress-up during the remaining weeks of the COVID-19 quarantine and challenges them to photograph themselves as they recreate their favorite classic painting.
Participants are welcome to recreate any classic painting or artwork, however a number of examples are available in the art center’s Facebook page (@LudingtonArtsCenter) and website www.ludingtonartscenter.org.
After recreating their favorite classic painting participants are asked to share them with the community by posting them in the comments of the art center’s ‘Masters Challenge’ Facebook post or e-mail them to firstname.lastname@example.org with ‘classic masters’ in the subject line.
The art center is also hosting an ‘Art Bingo’ challenge and a second ‘Virtual Talent Show’ during the quarantine. Details for each of the events as well as the center’s upcoming ‘Pandemic Ingenuity’ exhibit, slated for July, featuring artwork created during the COVID-19 quarantine area available on both the art center’s website and Facebook page.
