Ludington Area Center for the Arts is committed to advocating for and offering young artists a place to come create and express all of their artistic abilities. Workshop Wednesdays: A free crafting class offered to children third grade and up, Wednesdays during the school year from 3:30-5 pm, upstairs in the LACA Craft Room. Last day for the 2017-18 school year is Wednesday, April 11.
Watercolor and Sketching Class: Retired Art teacher, Julia Chambers will be teaching a four week class for students 3rd to 7th grades, 3:30-5 pm, Tuesday, May 1, 8, 15, 22 in the LACA Craft Room. Cost is $30/student.
NEW CLASS SESSION OFFERED: Oil Painting Class: Justin Gustafson will be teaching oil painting techniques to students ages 10 and older May 5, 12, 19 and 26 in the LACA Craft Room upstairs. The cost for the four sessions is $50 or each session costs $15 individually. You can attend all four sessions or register for individual ones. He will be teaching the class so newcomers will be able to keep up with those who have already attended previous classes during the four weeks. Oil is messy, so please have students wear clothing that can get covered in paint.
Guitar Lessons: Learn to play guitar with Steve Plummer. Classes are held on Wednesday nights, starting at 5:30. Call to register for a half hour individual session. Classes are $20/session. All skill levels are welcome to sign up.
Violin Lessons: Becky Parks teaches violin lessons on Wednesdays at LACA in conjunction with West Michigan Junior Strings. For more details, contact Becky at firstname.lastname@example.org.
