Ludington Area Center for the Arts is committed to advocating for and offering young artists a place to come create and express all of their artistic abilities. We offer workshops, special events and groups for children of all ages to participate in at little or no cost. For more information or to register contact LACA at 231.845.2787! We do have youth scholarships available to cover class fees, please contact us to apply.


Workshop Wednesdays: A free crafting class offered to children third grade and up, Wednesdays during the school year from 3:30-5 pm, upstairs in the LACA Craft Room. Last day for the 2017-18 school year is Wednesday, April 11.


Arts in Motion Movement Classes: A free movement and dance class offered to those w/ special needs ages 5 and older. The class is free and accessible in the LACA Main Gallery. Ages 5-12 from 10-11 am and ages 12 and older from 11 am to noon. These classes run every Monday from Aug. 6-27.


Arts in Motion Art Classes: A free series of art classes offered to those w/ special needs, ages 5 and older. The class is free and accessible in the LACA Main Gallery. The class runs 5:30-7 pm, every Monday from Aug. 6-27.


Guitar Lessons: Learn to play guitar with Steve Plummer. Classes are held on Wednesday nights, starting at 5:30. Call to register for a half hour individual session. Classes are $20/session. All skill levels are welcome to sign up.


Violin Lessons: Becky Parks teaches violin lessons on Wednesdays at LACA in conjunction with West Michigan Junior Strings. For more details, contact Becky at parksbecky@gmail.com.
